Endurance Warranty Coverage Breakdown
But if you scroll to the bottom, you’ll notice a Sample Contracts option that links to a page with six plans total. We’ll describe each plan below, but keep in mind that your vehicle might not qualify for every option.
- Supreme: This is Endurance’s comprehensive plan that covers any breakdown except for a list of exclusions. It’s most cost-effective for cars with up to 100,000 miles.
- Advantage: This plan covers annual maintenance services like oil changes, diagnostic exams, and alignment checks plus one-time services like brake pad and battery replacements (limits apply). It also offers three levels for breakdown coverage: Preferred, Plus, and Prime. There is no mileage limit to the Advantage plan.
- Superior: This plan covers the engine, transmission, turbocharger, drive axle, transfer unit, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, suspension, fuel system, and cooling system. It’s a good option for mid- to high-mileage cars.
- Premier: You get coverage for the engine, transmission, transfer case, drive axle, air conditioning, electrical, luxury electrical, cooling, and fuel systems. It’s designed for cars with up to 150,000 miles.
- Secure Plus: This affordable plan covers the engine, turbocharger, transmission, drive axle, transfer unit, brakes, steering, electrical, and air conditioning. This is a cheap option for high-mileage vehicles.
- Secure: This basic plan covers the engine, turbocharger, transmission, drive axle, and transfer unit. It’s another budget-friendly choice for high-mileage and used cars.
Endurance’s Advantage plan separates the provider from many other warranty companies. This option covers many maintenance services:
- Three oil changes per year up to $50 each
- One-time brake pad replacement up to $140
- One-time battery replacement up to $100
- One-time cooling system maintenance up to $55
- Annual engine diagnostic exam up to $45
- Annual alignment up to $25
- Annual state safety inspection up to $55
- Annual tire rotation up to $35
- One-time wiper blade replacement up to $20
- 3 manufacturer-recommended service intervals—$25 for the first, $45 for the second, and $65 for the third
Endurance offers a few upgrades to its plans that can cover special circumstances:

- Rental car reimbursement: Reimburses up to $30 per day and $150 total while your car is at a repair shop
- Roadside assistance: Covers towing, lockout assistance, fuel delivery, battery jump-start, and spare tire installation
- Trip interruption: Reimburses up to $150 per day ($450 total) for food and lodging if you have a breakdown over 100 miles from home
Endurance goes a step further and provides Endurance Elite benefits free for the first year. Here’s what’s included:
- Collision discount of up to $500 for repairs after an accident
- Total loss assistance up to $1,000
- Key fob replacement
- Road hazard tire replacement and repair
You can extend these benefits after the first year for a small fee.
What Does Endurance Warranty Not Cover?
No warranty covers every part or repair, no matter what a salesperson may say. The highest Endurance plan, Supreme, has a list of exclusions like the following:
- Damage from accidents or the environment
- Breakdowns from lack of maintenance
- Breakdowns from misuse like off-roading or racing
- Repairs to fix the appearance of the interior or trim, paint, and glass
- Specific components in the emission system
- Wearable components like filters, hoses, brake pads, and the battery (except when covered by the Advantage plan)
- Specific components like tire pressure sensors, shock absorbers, exhaust components, and more.
Having compared the fine print of many warranty contracts, Endurance’s exclusions are common in the industry. The important thing is to read the exclusions yourself and understand the contract before the free refund period of 30 days expires.
Other Endurance Auto Warranty Terms and Conditions
Here are a few more warranty terms to be aware of before you purchase an Endurance vehicle protection plan:
- Waiting period: 30 days
- Money-back guarantee: 30 days
- Deductible options: Varies, $100 is the default
- Transfers: Can transfer to a secondary owner if you sell the car
- Cancellation: Cancel within 30 days for a full refund or after for a pro-rated refund based on time and claims paid

Below are the details of each quote. These apply to a 2017 Kia Sportage with 110,000 miles. You may find different rates based on your car and its condition. Compared to the industry, Endurance’s rates are about average or slightly higher if you want maintenance coverage.
Plan | Term | Monthly Cost | Down Payment | Total Cost |
---|---|---|---|---|
Advantage Plus | 4 years/75,000 miles | $203.44 for 29 months | $232.44 | $6,132.20 |

Purchased Endurance because I am disabled and needed reliable coverage. I made my first claim-a total of 2 claims since my issues were separated by the company. They have denied everything and even made fraudulent claims of pre-existing issues as well as quoting diagnostic information that was not provided by the mechanic. The entire process has been frustrating and angering. I was told that I ‘planned the breakdown’, and ‘knew it was going to happen’, etc. I broke down 4 hrs from home alone – if I was planning a breakdown it would not have been alone and away from my home is a city I am not familiar with. They have refused everything despite being within the claim processing window. They have had every excuse known to man. I have been accused, verbally abused, and laughed at by CSRs of Endurance. This company is a fraud. The only good, positive reviews are the ones from people who never needed to file a claim or were filing for a $20 item. I am filling out papers to sue them at this time. I will not be treated like crap by a company that promises to take care of customers and then denies and lies. The sales people lie about the coverage and my contract did not say what mileage I needed to reach to have an acceptable claim. There are magic numbers that endurance fails to inform you of – my transmission failed after the differential failed – not an uncommon occurrence. Endurance told me it was all my fault and I should have known better-they also told me I should have purchased the insurance 6 months earlier!! WTH!! I had reached my wait period and passed it by 18 days and 639 miles. IF your transmission fails they assume it must have gone bad during the waiting period so they only consider 639 miles as a failure time frame not the 147,000 miles prior. Endurance will only accept claims when you reach an unknown magic number-so they assume that my transmission could NOT fail in 639 days-Wow, what a magic ball they have! IF I could project my breakdowns I would be thrilled; If I could plan a breakdown I would avoid them by looking into Endurances magic ball and fixing the problem before it happens!! I have never been treated with such disrespect and with such demeaning superior attitudes. IF you want to feel stupid or at the very least be told you are stupid then by all means call Endurance about a claim-they have no problem telling you that YOU are wrong, YOU are at fault, and YOU are stupid!1

Went to three different mechanics to get some help, they all three said they didn’t work with Endurance because of a billing problem. Don’t know what to do.

I did my research searching for a reputable warranty company & came across Endurance. Gave them a call s/w Nathan Allen who explained everything in detail & now come to find out it was all based on lies. I filed a claim & was immediately denied w/out even having an inspection done on my vehicle & the reason was due to probabilities. I’m in total shock over how I was treated. I asked to speak with a supervisor & was told that he would call me on his availability. I would never recommend this company to anyone EVER!

Bought a 4 year advantage plus extended warranty from Endurance. No claims for 3 years themy A/C quit working. Took it to my dealer and had them work with Endurance claims to get the repair authorization. Endurance denied the claim. I tried several times to look at the cause of the breakdown but they just read from their denial script. I am out $1500.00 for the repair. They lie in their advertising.

I have been paying for a warranty with Endurance for about 3 years. I have only used it once, not for a lot of money, and they covered it. Now, when some major work needs to be done, they are using technicalities to say no. And I read something about them handling their claims themselves, that was not my experience. The number that I was given to call went to people who handle other companies as well. The person I spoke using “Endurance”, not “we” or “our company “. I am on a fixed income and am not sure how I will handle what is happening. Very disappointing.
